Garam Masala Powder for Curries, Daal and Pulao
Arabian Farms Garam Masala is a 150 g ground spice blend for adding warm aroma and depth to everyday Pakistani cooking. Use it to finish chicken or mutton curries, qorma, karahi, daal, vegetables and pulao. Unlike a dish-specific recipe mix, garam masala is a versatile aromatic seasoning: a small addition can complement the spices already in your dish.
Whole spices, lightly prepared before grinding
The blend includes coriander, cumin, black pepper, cloves, cinnamon, green and black cardamom, bay leaves, nutmeg, mace and other natural spices. Light roasting or dehydration before grinding enhances natural flavour and aroma and supports keeping quality. There are no added preservatives, artificial additives, starch fillers or adulterants. This preparation follows Arabian Farms' health-first approach to ingredient quality.
When to add garam masala
Nearly ready → Stir in → Infuse gently
For a curry or daal, add a small amount near the end of cooking, stir it evenly into the moist dish and allow it to infuse gently for about 2 minutes before finishing. Taste first if you have already used a recipe masala, so the combined seasoning remains balanced.
For pulao or other rice dishes, follow your recipe's finishing method. If using it in a marinade, mix into the marinade before cooking and cook the main ingredients thoroughly. Avoid scorching the ground spices in very hot oil; this is an aromatic blend, not a substitute for cooking the food itself.
Aroma and chilli heat are different
Garam masala brings warm spice flavour rather than relying on excessive red chilli. For extra heat, add Arabian Farms Red Chilli (Lal Mirch) separately to taste. Increase gradually instead of adding more garam masala solely to make a dish hotter.
Keep your 150 g pack fresh and dry
Aluminium foil packaging helps protect aroma and reduce moisture exposure. Close the pack tightly after each use and store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight, steam and the hob. Use a clean, dry spoon and follow the packaging's best-before information.
